The ASUS TUF Gaming B850M-Plus WiFi is the Micro-ATX member of the TUF B850 family for Socket AM5. It keeps the 14+2+1 power stages and three M.2 slots of its full-size sibling in a 9.6 x 9.6 inch board. This page is based on published specifications from ASUS; we have not handled this board.
ASUS sells two boards whose names differ by one suffix: the TUF Gaming B850M-Plus WIFI covered on this page, and a separate TUF Gaming B850M-Plus WIFI7 model. They use different wireless controllers. Every specification below is for the WIFI model.
AMD published bulletin AMD-SB-7064 on 11 August 2026. It covers two high-severity flaws in AMD's firmware TPM: CVE-2026-6726, an information-leakage flaw that lets a forged TPM key be certified as genuine, and CVE-2026-6727, a timing side-channel. AMD scores them 8.5 and 8.3 on CVSS 4.0. Affected processors run from Ryzen 3000 to Ryzen 9000, plus Threadripper, Ryzen AI and Ryzen Embedded parts. Both attacks need local privileged access, so neither is remotely exploitable. The underlying flaw is in the Trusted Computing Group's TPM 2.0 reference code, which AMD ships as fTPM.
The fix arrives as a motherboard BIOS update. Windows Update will not install it. Check ASUS's security advisories and this board's own support page, install the latest BIOS, then look for an fTPM or TPM security fix in the release notes. Coverage varies by board, and we have not verified that a fixed BIOS exists for this one.
Before you flash: if this machine uses BitLocker, save your recovery key first. A firmware update can trigger BitLocker recovery, and Windows will then ask for a 48-digit key before it unlocks the drive. Our BIOS update guide covers the safe order.

At 9.6 x 9.6 inches this is a square Micro-ATX board, which suits compact mid-towers and small cube cases. Four DIMM slots survive the shrink, so memory capacity matches the full-size TUF board at up to 256GB.
The graphics slot is PCIe 5.0 x16 with a Ryzen 9000 or 7000 Series processor. Fit a Ryzen 8000 Series processor and it runs at PCIe 4.0 in x8/x4 mode instead, because those lanes are supplied by the CPU. There is only one full-length slot on this board.
Three M.2 slots are fitted. The first is PCIe 5.0 x4 with a Ryzen 9000 or 7000 Series processor; the other two are PCIe 4.0 x4. Four SATA 6Gb/s ports are also present.
ASUS specifies 14+2+1 power stages rated at 80A each — the same array as the full-size TUF B850-Plus. For a Micro-ATX board that is a strong showing, and it removes the usual worry about pairing a small board with a high-core-count Ryzen 9000 processor.
Wireless is Wi-Fi 6E with Bluetooth 5.3. Wi-Fi 6E still gives you the 6GHz band, but this is the one place where this board sits a generation behind the ROG Strix B850 models. Wired networking is a Realtek 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet controller.
The back panel carries 12 USB ports: one 20Gbps Type-C, three 10Gbps Type-A, four 5Gbps Type-A and four USB 2.0. There is no 40Gbps Type-C connector on the back panel. Audio is the Realtek ALC1220P codec.
Builders who want a compact Ryzen 9000 system without giving up power delivery or memory capacity, and who are happy with Wi-Fi 6E wireless and a single expansion slot.
